Chapter 2 – Introduction to Microsoft Windows 10

This chapter provides an overview of the new Microsoft Windows 10; various parts of its components; how to use it in performing basic computer tasks; and some simple troubleshooting techniques. It introduces students to new features included in this new version of Windows, how to use the features, and how they differ from Windows 7. In this chapter, students will learn that Windows 10 is similar to Windows 7 in some ways but contain faster functionalities that allow them to get things done quicker than if they were using Windows 7. The new Explorer interface, accessible through the “Personalize” context menu item on the desktop allows one to customize and switch between themes, as well as download more themes from Microsoft’s website.
